Envirowaste Pays Almost $1 Million in Investments After Fatal Incident

After an incident at the Hampton Downs landfill in north Waikato, a man was left dead. EnviroWaste will now face around $1 million in remedial actions due to the incident. Of the $1 million dollars, $160,000 will be paid to the family as reparation. The incident involved the detection of illicit substances, and thus another $200,000 will be donated toward a local youth alcohol and drug program at the family's wish.
