The City of Mesquite has a population of 145,000 inhabitants and is one of the ten largest cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

FCC, through FCC Environmental Services, its American subsidiary, has been awarded a contract to provide the processing and marketing services relating to recyclables from the City of Mesquite, Texas. The total value of the contract is approximately $1.5 million for a period of up to five years.

The City of Mesquite has a population of 145,000 inhabitants and is one of the ten largest cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Together with Dallas, Garland, Mesquite and University Park, FCC will provide services for the treatment of recyclables to 2,000,000 people in North Texas.

With this latest contract, FCC has ensured the processing of 75,000 tons of recyclables for 2017, in its recently opened Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) in Dallas. This contract is the seventh one signed by FCC in the past two years in the US, and is the fifth one in the State of Texas. To date, the backlog relating to these contracts stands at around $562 million.
