The Union Vale Fire Department was alerted of a giant pile of garbage on fire in a Hudson Valley Town.

Residents of Hudson Valley Town in Dutchess County, NY were shocked to see a pile of waste aflame on the street. According to officials, the waste caught fire inside a hauling vehicle and was immediately dumped into the road to save the vehicle. While they are unsure what caused the fire, they believe it is safe to assume it was the effect of improper waste disposal such as batteries. The road has been cleaned and reopened.
