Several researchers have discovered higher rates of adult incontinence going to Australian landfills than baby nappies.

In Australia, more adult incontinence products go to landfills than baby diapers. Both of these products are not recyclable and therefore end up in landfills, so this is an important statistic to look at. Researchers believe the number of adult incontinence products going to landfills will multiply by four to ten between now and 2030. These same researchers have several ideas for how to slow down this growing waste stream.
