Princeton NuEnergy Inc. in Bordentown New Jersey has received a $10 million grant to support car battery recycling efforts. The company is currently working to decrease the cost of recycling these batteries to increase their recycling rates. The process Princeton NuEnergy Inc. uses 70% less energy than the typical lithium-ion recycling method, already making it more efficient. They hope to continue refining this process as the rate of end-of-life electric car batteries increases and is expected to grow greatly in 2030.
