NWRA Thanks OSHA for Waste Management Guidance During COVID-19
NWRA is lauding OSHA’s efforts to provide guidance on managing waste and recycling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) thanks the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for providing guidance on managing waste and recycling during the COVID-19 crisis.

“NWRA continues to engage with federal agencies, the White House, Congress and state authorities to ensure our members have the tools and resources available to safely operate during the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate that OSHA honored our request to provide guidance on their website during this health crisis,” said NWRA President and CEO Darrell Smith in a statement. “NWRA is committed to working with our members to make sure every one of our workers comes home safely each day.”

NWRA is leading the effort to reduce injuries and fatalities in the industry through engagement such as an alliance with OSHA and a partnership with the Environmental Research & Education Foundation on a request for proposals to provide a baseline analysis for what is occurring in the industry.
