Perquimans, Chowan, and Gates counties are all taking another look at their current waste hauler contracts. Each of the three counties is served by Republic, and each of them inspected their contracts this week as the hauler increase its rates. Switching from a per-mile rate to a per-minute rate, Republic has requested the switch from these three counties as they are the last to make the switch in the Mid-Atlantic area. Decisions are still yet to be made.
