A group in Utah is attempting to replace single-use batteries in homes with reusable lithium-ion batteries.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Salt Lake County Household Hazardous Waste Facility of Utah went out of business, and this is where locals would bring alkaline batteries to be recycled. Now, a new group in Salt Lake County is working to replace alkaline use with lithium-ion batteries.
